I had fun at Blogapalooza 2014, my very first Blogapalooza participation at that. I was quite impressed I must say. The general feel of the event is very good and everything was taken care of in brilliant fashion.
I attended the event with my big ‘baby’ boss- Cassey Hunter, and she seemed to have enjoyed it as well. As a blogger, of course I enjoyed those lil perks and freebies from the exhibitors, but those weren’t what made the event special for me.
More importantly, I feel I really got to learn a bit more about the Blogging Community, Blogapalooza as an organization and the people behind it. There were a lot of great gimmicks, each booth concepts were very professionally done and on a whole, every detail seemed well-thought out.
Truly, this event is a perfect venue for business and corporate brands to really build partnership with the community. I very much appreciate the well thought of marketing gimmicks of a few brands who made it a point to have follow-up sessions between them and the blogging community, not just a one-time-partnership thing.
Although I missed some of the important sessions of the day, I can pretty much say that overall, I had a blast at Blogapalooza 2014. Just a couple of points, though: I am hoping next time that there will be morning talks and sessions, and perhaps more community interactions next year. I guess, for Blogapalooza to sustain its success in the coming years, its technical content needs to be expanded significantly. In order to attract an even bigger crowd, they need to diversify and expand the technical content of the event. The community is continually expanding so why not make it a two to three day event next year? Just saying. Again, My congratulations to the organizers of Blogapalooza 2014. #jnv
