Keeping up with the trends y’all. Have you tried this latest social media frenzy? This creamy, velvety smooth South Korean whipped coffee a.k.a Dalgona Coffee?
Since it went viral this Quarantine ‘Season’ and became the most instagram-worthy drink.. I have been enjoying it a lot and have been making different variations, using almond milk instead of regular, garnishing it with a dash of cocoa on top, etc…
It is super easy to prepare, and you won’t believe how good it taste. It’s definitely a coffee shop quality frothy latte from the comfort of your home!
They say the ratio should be 1:1:1; but I’d give you a tip.. go for 3! You can thank me later! 🙂

Ingredients:
3 tbsp instant coffee
3 tbsp granulated sugar
3 tbsp hot water
milk
ice

Instructions:
- Take equal parts of the coffee, sugar and water. Mix all ingredients.
- Whip it using a fork, a hand whisk or an electric stand mixer. Mixing it by hand takes a lot longer, though. So I used a stand mixer for this one. Took only 5 minutes.
- Keep whipping until it reaches a stiff peak. It has to be meringue-like not just frothy if you want to achieve the same as I did (above). Color should be light brown (if not, keep on whipping baby!)
- Put ice on your milk and pour or scoop your whipped coffee on top. I used a pipping bag to make it look nicer!
- Enjoy it with cookies or anything you like!
Do try it and let me know how you liked it. I would love to see your creation. Please don’t forget to leave a comment below.
