I am a busy mommy who admittedly has always neglected skin care in her daily well-being regimen. I not only find it quite taxing to stick to a moisturizing routine, I also think it’s quite unnecessary (or at the least of my priorities) to make a certain product part of my long-term health & beauty regimen. I have always not been into long-term product usage because of fear of adverse effects and, well, economy-wise, I simply won’t just go for something untried unless otherwise really needed.
After being sent an invitation for a 7-day challenge that involves a well established skin care brand, upon carefully reading their instructions, I said yes to it, since it only require me a week usage.
For the past seven days, I’ve been trialling the Jergens Ultra Healing Extra Dry Skin Moisturizer, and even I myself could not believe that in just a week surprisingly my skin has never felt better. The lotion says “Nourishes and Heals, Repairs for visibly healthier skin with an illuminating HYDRALUCENCE blend and Vitamin C, E & B5,” and I say in fact it stands true to its words.
I used it on my arms and legs and on my heels (which has been my problem area eversince). At first, I noticed that the lotion was non-greasy. It has a white texture and with just a few strokes it left my skin with no residue. It’s easy to apply, and it’s quickly absorbed and dries almost instantly. It doesn’t leave my skin feeling clammy, tacky or greasy, like other intensive moisturisers do. My heels, in particular, now feels firm, smooth and supple which is exactly what I want from a moisturiser.
I honestly felt there was a huge and noticable difference from the day I started with this 7 day challenge up to now. My cracked heels were gone in 7 days. I cannot believe how smooth and hydrated my skin is now, it’s just amazing. The lotion isn’t a thick consistency but isn’t too runny. It was just right for a quick application and that didn’t leave my skin feeling all greasy. One thing that frustrates me about most lotions is that they don’t absorb quickly into the skin and if you want to get into your clothes shortly after application there is that ‘icky’ feeling. Jergens Moisturizing Lotion doesn’t have that… two minutes after applying the lotion I could get into my jeans with no problems.
Need I say, this is an excellent product that I highly recommend for use even just for 7 days. This is great for problem areas like the heels and sole of your feet and maybe your elbows too wherein the skin is usually dry and cracked. I am amazed by the significantly obvious change in my skin now. As a non-believer of long term product usage, I think I might consider using this Jergens Ultra Healing Extra Dry Skin Moisturizer, 7days in a month, or whenever I feel there’s a need for it from here on. For now, I am happy with how my skin feels, thank you Jergens. You’re definitely worth a try! #jnv
